Baker Donelson is plesed to announce the addition of Ivan Boatner to the Firm's Government Enforcement and Invstigations Group.
Mr. Boatner has more than 20 years of experience in the government contracting sector and brings a thorough understanding of the laws and regulations relevant to government and Department of Energy contractors to his practice. His experience working in the governement sector includes advising clients on government contract claims and compliance, as well as representing the government and contractors in a variety of matters, such as False Claims Act cases, the Federal Tort Claims Act, Freedom of Information Act requests and litigation, employment disputes, and whistleblower cases. Mr. Boatner joins the Firm after a 14-year tenure as general counsel for Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU), a government contractor with anual revenues of approximately $400 million, where he was responsible for overseeing all legal matters, in addition to serving on ORAU's strategic Leadership Team.
Baker Donelson's Government Enforcement and Invstigations Group defends businesses and executives in a wide range of domestic and international investigations and prosecutions. The group is composed of more tahn 30 attorneys, including a former acting associate attorney general, a former general counsel fo rthe Department of Homeland Security, former U.S. attorneys in multiple districts, a former FBI agent, appointed special attorneys general for several states, and many former state and federal prosecutors.
