About Us

Formed in 2011, UCOR, an Amentum-led partnership with Jacobs, manages environmental cleanup for the Department of Energy (DOE) on the Oak Ridge Reservation. Our workforce of more than 1,900 has earned a reputation for safe performance, innovative problem solving, and an unwavering focus on excellence.

UCOR provides safe, cost-effective and innovative solutions to support environmental cleanup for the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Environmental Management. Cleanup missions on the Oak Ridge Reservation focus on protection of people and the environment and enabling current and future science and national security programs. We achieve this by reducing risks and eliminating hazards at three sites—the East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP), the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), and the Y-12 National Security Complex (Y-12).

At ETTP, we are eliminating DOE’s long-term stewardship costs/liability and facilitating return of the site to the community for economic development. At ORNL, we are reducing risks by eliminating hazards and removing outdated structures to enable the laboratory’s growing science and energy missions. At Y-12, we are mitigating mercury threats to the environment and returning remediated land for reuse for critical national defense missions.

Over the past nine years, partnerships with our client, workforce, appropriators, labor leaders, regulators and community have yielded unprecedented results for Oak Ridge Reservation environmental cleanup. These partnerships enabled completion of major cleanup at ETTP (Vision 2020).
