Oak Ridge Utility District currently serves approximately 14,500 customers. All corporate powers are vested in and exercised by a five member Board of Commissioners, who meet the fourth Wednesday of each month at 8:30a.m., at the ORUD business office, 120 S. Jefferson Circle, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, unless changed by public notice. In addition, the Tennessee Regulatory Authority, the Utility Management Review Board, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission regulate portions of the District's activities.
