• Each year, our chamber businesses deserve an extraordinary evening to celebrate their accomplishments and to recognize our extraordinary community leaders. We are proud to host our 4th annual Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce awards ceremony & installation dinner (The ExtraORdinary Gala) to do just that. The next gala will be held on January 5, 2024. At this event, we will be installing new board members, conducting an Annual Meeting, and honoring winners of the below awards. We will keep everyone updated as we secure sponsors and vendors. In the meantime, please help us collect extraordinary nominations until September 30.

    Nominations Are now open for the 2024 awards ceremony. Nominations close September 30, 2023.

    Note:
    The award winner is not announced until the night of the annual award gala, and the award is presented during that time if the winner is present. If unable to attend, we set a later presentation date with them and ask them for an acceptance speech via video that is played at the event.

    This award is selected internally by the Chamber to recognize an outstanding Ambassador.
    ExtraORdinary Beautification

    Oak Ridge Beautification Award* 

    This award is chosen by the Chamber's Housing Committee. You may nominate a quarterly winner, who, if chosen, will be entered into the annual awards process
    ExtraORdinary Promise

    Our Promising Youth* 

    This award is selected internally by a CLCD Board Member.

    *These awards are voted on by either a certain committee or person, and are not included in the ballot for the annual ExtraORdinary Awards Gala. For the Beautification Award, you may nominate a quarterly winner, who, if chosen, will be entered into the annual awards process.

    These recipients receive their awards in the relevant year, and will be mentioned during the event.

    General Criteria for all ExtraORdinary Awards: 

     

    • Award nominees either must be:
    • Members of the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce in good standing
    • A viable, ongoing business which has maintained stability over its business tenure
    • Willing to provide a reference to support your application


    Award nominees may be either:

    • Self-nominated
    • Sponsor-nominated

    Award nominees must be willing to provide a reference(s) and narratives to support the application process

    Previous award winners are not eligible for new awards until 3-years after last win in any category with the exception of Community Impact.
