Join us for our last ORHRA meeting of the year, a holiday social! There will be no guest speaker today, however, there will be Calhoun's catering and plenty of time to network among your fellow ORHRA members and other HR professionals.
This is the time of year we get to sit and enjoy each other this holiday season. We would like to ask that each person bring a small donation to support the Non-Profit we are supporting this year, Hope of East Tennessee. http://www.hopeofet.org/
The director of Hope of East Tennessee, Mandy Colburn, will be in attendance this December 1st to receive the donations received that day, along with a donation on behalf of ORHRA this 2022 year with the membership fees that have taken place this year.
Hope of East Tennessee, Inc. has been helping the community for 46 years. We work with adults who have a problem with drugs and alcohol. We receive grants to help those who are not able to afford treatment. These grants cover our men’s residential program and the Intensive Outpatient Program, which is male and female. We also have transitional living for males and females available to those who have completed residential treatment.
Below are some ideas for things that they could benefit from.
- Gallon Size Ziploc bag with deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, body wash/soap
- Towel and washcloth set
- Regular twin size sheet sets with pillowcases
- Twin size pillows
- Laundry Detergent
- Laundry basket
- Pots and pans
- Kitchen utensils
- Plates, bowls, cups
Some larger items that could be used at the transitional houses would be: a need for 2 sofas, 3 small/average coffee tables, 4 small end tables, 3 dressers that have 5 drawers and are narrow.
**The donation provided by ORHRA could go toward some of these larger items, or if your company would be interested in supporting these needs as well, let me know and we can coordinate something like that for you.**
Krista Jones, 2022 President of ORHRA
