    Event Description:

Supervisors new to leadership or new to a company may struggle with the change in position and environment. Shifting from an individual contributor performing tasks to leading a team requires new skills and new ways to work with people. The Learning to Lead series helps new supervisors develop the necessary skills to effectively manage teams.

The series is broken into four parts, including:

    1. Core Skills of Leadership
Focus on your new role as a supervisor, what professionalism looks like, leadership styles, aligning your actions with the business’s mission and values.

    2. Coaching Fundamentals
Learn how to set expectations and effectively coach your team with positive reinforcement and recognition.

    3. Performance Coaching
It happens to the best of us — sometimes a member of our team performs below expectations. In the third part of this series, learn how to document performance, counseling techniques for corrective action and supervisor decision making.

    4. Conflict Resolution
Learn how to quickly identify causes of conflict in your team and different strategies to use for resolution.
