Encounter Oak Ridge Encounter Oak Ridge is a new four-session program designed to introduce Oak Ridge to new residents, new employees and everyone interested in learning more about the community where they live and/or work. Participants will be introduced to the unique aspects of Oak Ridge – a small, southern town with international influence and impact. Each session will focus on different aspects of the Oak Ridge community and will take place from 3:30-7:30 p.m on four consecutive Mondays. Session 1 – “Opening the Gates: An Introduction to Oak Ridge” Session 2 – “The Federal Presence & Oak Ridge Partners: $3B in Your Backyard” Session 3 – “Challenges & Opportunities: City and County Leaders and the Issues They Face” Session 4 – “Life in Oak Ridge: Enrichment Opportunities & Quality of Life” Encounter Oak Ridge is limited to 20 participants and the per person cost is $375.
