Dealing with Difficult People Workshop
The Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce has once again teamed up with Dale Carnegie of Tennessee to offer a series on Leadership Essentials. A discount is available for members of the Chamber. The December session is entitled, “Dealing with Difficult People” and will be held on Thursday, December 3 from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the Chamber, located at 1400 Oak Ridge Turnpike. Jim Christenson of Dale Carnegie Training of Tennessee will be leading the Leadership Essentials series.
According to the description provided by Dale Carnegie Training, “Many of us seek to avoid difficult people because confronting the person or situation can be exhausting and emotionally draining. Yet, avoiding these people or situations can be worse. Unresolved conflicts and miscommunication waste enormous amounts of time and energy, can destroy morale, and impact the bottom-line cost in lost productivity.” The seminar will allow participants to discuss solutions.
Cost for members of the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce is $30 per session. Cost for non-members is $50 per session.
