Bradshaw, Whitson to be Honored at Luncheon


The Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce will honor two area business men at its annual program of work kickoff luncheon to be held on Thursday, March 19 at the Riverside Grille. The One Voice - One Vision Luncheon has been postponed from its original date to accommodate a yet-to-be-named speaker. David Bradshaw and Stephen Whitson will be presented with the Chamber's most prestigious awards at the event.

David Bradshaw, President of the Oak Ridge branch of CapitalMark Bank & Trust will be the recipient of the Eugene L. Joyce Lifetime Achievement Award. The award is given to a nominee who has truly distinguished himself/herself and embodies the essential values of volunteerism, community service and dedication to the economic vitality of our community. It is the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce’s preeminent award given to honor the memory of the late Eugene L. Joyce.

Stephen Whitson, president of H-S Whitson Construction Company, Inc. will receive the Kerry Trammell Volunteer of the Year Award. The award is named after the late Kerry Trammell, who was a long-time member and volunteer for the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce.

The One Voice - One Vision Luncheon will serve as the kickoff to the Chamber's 2015 Program of Work as well as the introduction of the Chamber's three-year strategic plan. The event will include a keynote address by a speaker who will be announced on Friday afternoon.

Cost to attend the luncheon is $50 per person for members of the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce. For non-members, the cost is $100 per person. Millennium Partners of the Chamber should contact Greta Ownby at 483-1321 or ownby@orcc.org for information on their complimentary seats for the luncheon.
